About North Point Yacht Sales

North Point Yacht Sales has a proven track record of over 20 years providing excellent customer service in the yacht brokerage business. Paul Mikulski, founder of JPort Annapolis, had a vision to create an environment where customers could experience all dimensions of sailing in one locations. In 1992, JPort was founded which focused on three areas: J/World for instruction, Chesapeake Boating club for club rentals, and JBoat Chesapeake for new and brokerage yacht sales. Since the inception, the three parts have stayed in the same location while the ownerships have changed allowing each area to focus on its specialization.

North Point Yacht Sales has taken over the sales organization of JPort. North Point Yacht Sales is led by Annapolis-based sailors Ken and Jennifer Comerford who bring to the venture a wealth of experience as sail and powerboat owners, as active racers and as dedicated cruisers. The team at North Point Yacht Sales has extensive experience and passion for boating and skills the modern marine industry requires. North Point Yacht Sales has created a formula that has proven quite successful: Provide a quality product at a value price. Provide outstanding customer service. Ken Comerford 

Ken is an avid racer and passionate about sailing and cruising the Chesapeake Bay. He has worked in the yacht business for several years focusing on providing his customers with excellent customr service. Previously to his marine experience, Ken has had an extensive career at Salomon North America as the mid-Atlantic sales manager for the alpine and snowboard lines.

Jennifer Flake Comerford

Jennifer enjoys sailing, racing and cruising the Bay. She brings to the organization a vast array of skills. Prior to taking on North Point Yacht Sales, she was a Partner at Accenture, a large technology consulting firm. Jennifer focuses on marketing, advertising and is the comptroller.

Paul Mikulski

Paul is founder of JPort Annapolis with his vision of one stop shopping for all your sailing needs. Paul has extensive maritime experience and looks forward to continuing serving his customers for new and brokerage boat sales. Paul will continue to oversee the club business.

Cheryl Keyworth

Cheryl is the backbone of the organization providing support for sales and service. She has worked at JPort for over 15 years and understands the customer’s needs. She will continue as customer support for North Point Yacht Sales. She and her husband are avid sailors and can be found at many Bay racing events.

David Malkin

We are pleased to announce the addition of David Malkin to our sales team.  David comes to us with over 30 years of sailing and boating experience.   His resume is varied and includes twenty plus years of inshore and offshore racing, several years as a live-aboard, and extensive cruising.   David currently campaigns his J24, Space Man Spiff, in addition to racing on other bigger boat programs on the Chesapeake.
