Every day the crew at North Point Yacht Sales has the pleasure of working and playing on one of the world's largest natural bays. The Chesapeake stretches over 64,000 miles encompassing parts of six states: Delaware, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia—and the entire District of Columbia. The United State's largest estuary is also situated in one of the most congested areas with over 16.6 million people. So as much as we and our customers love to spend time enjoying the bay, we also owe something back to ensure that this fragile environment continues to improve. We contribute in ways that enable our customers to be part of the solution:

1% Back to Promote a Healthy Chesapeake Bay

Restoring the Bay by Making a Difference in the Community

It wasn't long ago that we could wade into the waters of the Chesapeake and see right to the bottom filled with sea grasses. I can recall watching the keel of our JBoat slice through clear water as if our boat was floating on air. I also remember letting the kids flip their dinghies to escape the summer heat and go for a swim - and never having to give a second thought about the quality of the water. We want this back - for ourselves, for our kids and for everyone who visits the Chesapeake. To help make this a reality, North Point Yacht Sales contributes 1% our profits back to our community to help with restoring the water quality of the Chesapeake and to promoting the sailing heritage that makes Annapolis truly unique in all the world.

There's not much work involved, there's a valuable ecology lesson for kids and growing healthy oysters provides you with a hands-on role in restoring our bay.
