This new Doug Zurn design is the easiest to handle and most fuel-efficient passagemaker of its size. Boarding through side-opening doors onto the same level as floating docks or a dinghy, couldn’t be easier. For all-weather versatility, the pilothouse features roll-up curtains, fully-opening windshields and air conditioning. The spacious, two-cabin layout below and comfortable on-deck seating compare favorable to much larger yachts.
The magic of the 40z single joystick control for low-speed maneuvering amazes the best of professional captains. Twin 370-HP diesel sterndrives are independently operated by computer for direction, forward-reverse gear and rpm. Sterndrives have 3 bid advantages: They kick-up on impact… or for clearing of props… and for shoal draft operation. Your fuel bill will be halved thanks to very strong but light, pre-preg epoxy/Kevlar/Eglasss/Corecell construction. With neither beam nor overall height exceeding 12 feet, more slips are available and the boat is readily trucked.
