Overview

PRICE REDUCED FOR IMMEDIATE SALE

This yacht has been surveyed and several areas of wet core were discovered in the hull and deck. The buyer was not willing to undertake repairs and the owner has decided to offer the boat at $19,000 "as is" to reflect the cost of repairs. It was under contract at $34,000 in the spring of 2015. A buyer would have to have his/her own survey conducted to determine the extent of repairs needed. Boat is in fine shape otherwise with excellent updating.

The C&C Landfall series combined their experience with fast racing boats with a group of purpose built fast cruisers. Built at C&C in Canada, these are strong, well-found vessels that have travelled widely. An excellent cruising sailboat for those on a budget. North Light has had extensive upgrading by her current owners.

  • Fresh water boat until 2011
  • New Sails 2011-2013
  • Yanmar 3GM new 1995
  • New Chartplotter 2014, other electronics very recent

This is a great cruiser for working the entire east coast and Bahamas. Plenty of room for 2 couples or a family of 4-6. A real performance cruiser..

Descriptions

General Description

The Landfall 38 provides a perfect balance of accommodations, cockpit and deck space, plenty of sail area, and a slippery hull. The nav station and double berth are immediately forward of the companionway with a door to make it a private stateroom at anchor. The head, galley and main salon separate this stateroom from the forward vee berth stateroom for excellent privacy for 2 couples. The aft double, settee and dinette make excellent sea berths. Salon upholstery renewed in 2014 and cabin sole new 2008.

The rig is tall for light air sailing and can be reefed from the cockpit. Main and genoa are nearly new. Essential electronics are new or nearly new. Deck layout and sail control reflect the builders experience in racing sail. This is a proven, capable boat for coastal cruises and transits north and south.
