Overview

New listing.  Rare 1984 Sabre 32, two-stateroom keel/centerboard sloop.   "Expedition II" 's 72 y.o. owner needs to sell her as he can no longer handle this sailing vessel.   So "Expedition II" is priced to sell at $32,900.   Bring offers!  This is a rare tri-cabin layout with a keel/centerboard.   A great opportunity to buy a Sabre 32 with Maine quality, and shoal draft for about $4,000 to $6,000 below market.  Please bring reasonable offers!

The Sabre 32 has two staterooms with her mid head and galley layout.  (See diagram).  So you can sleep two in the forward stateroom, and two in the aft stateroom with two quarter berths.  And the salon can sleep three for a total of 7 berths!  And the shoal draft of 3' 8" with the board up allows exploring shallow waters, and keeping your vessel at docks with thin water.  For good upwind sail performance, just drop the centerboard for improved pointing angles.  She has full electronics including autopilot, low engine hours of 1,150 on the Westerbeke, and six (6) sails in her inventory.   Call for more details.

Overall condition

Expedition II is owned by a 72 year-old gentleman who can no longer handle this Sabre 32 k/cb sloop.   She was at her berth in Cape Vincent, NY when a sudden Nor'easter caused waves to damage her rudder, and cause minor damage gelcoat chips to the transom.  Also, two life line stanchions were bent or broken.   Expedition II was  taken to Clayton, NY, and hauled for Winter storage.   The rig was unstepped, and a new rudder was ordered.   The new rudder was installed in Spring 2012

This Sabre is priced about $4,000 below the asking and selling prices of her sisterships to give the next owner a budget to repair the damage to the gelcoat chips in the transom, replace two stanchions, and to refinish the exterior teak.  Bring offers.
