Overview

Price reduction $6,000 on 12/11/12!   New asking price of only $39,000 makes her the best-priced Sea Sprite 34 on the market today.  Classic 1984 Sea Sprite 34 sloop designed by Bill Luders and built by C.E. Ryder.  This is a  traditional full-keel yacht that is stable, yet relatively fast.  She has a  fractional rig, so headsails are smaller. The Sea Sprite 34 enjoys a seaworthy reputation.  New England quality construction, too, by C.E Ryder.   The cabin is well appointed with nice joinerywork.   Ferenc Mate' has a chapter dedicated to the Luders' Sea Sprite 34 in his book "World's Best Boats to Build or Buy".   The title of the chapter on this design is "One for the Heart".   Mate' says that this is a boat whose lines "will stop (sailors) in their tracks".   He also speaks of her seakindly motion at sea.

"Andiamo" has many upgrades which are detailed below.  These include a new Univeral 25 diesel, new standing rigging, new bottom with barrier coat, new running rigging, new lifelines, new cockpit cushions, new refrigeration, new electronics, new transmission, new rolling furling, and  a new holding tank with macerator.   This lovely Sea Sprite 34 also has a brand new Siemco finish on her exterior teak, and a newly-refinished cockpit grating.   She is turnkey, and ready to give her next owners years of sailing enjoyment.   The sails were new in 1996, and are in good condition.  Just cast-off the lines, and set sail for the islands, New England or where ever your plans may carry you.  "Andiamo" is ready.  Are you?

We have this C.E. Ryder Sea Sprite 34 priced aggressively considering the long list of upgrades.   The owners are retiring from sailing, so they are motivated to find the right new sailors to take possession of "Andiamo".  The owners are motivated to sell her, so please bring all reasonable offers.

Note: all photos except for 'sistership' shots were taken on 9/11/12.

Broker's comments

It is apparent that these owners (only the second ones) have maintained "Andiamo" in a shipshape manner.   The numerous upgrades she has received is evidence of this care.  Most of the upgrades have made by Oak Harbor, so the same yard has been in charge of this Sea Sprite 34 since 1996.  The owners have sailed her to the Bahamas, Keys, New England and on the Chesapeake Bay.  It is clear that they have enjoyed their ownership of "Andiamo".   It is time for this classic Luder's design to go to the fhird owner as they are retiring from sailing.

The newer standing rigging, diesel, lifelines, refrigeration, electronics, tranmission, dripless cutlass bearing, running rigging, bimini, etc. make this Sea Sprite 34 a "best buy".
