Raven was built by a couple that owned many boats and they chose Alden Yachts in Rhode Island to create a boat of their dreams.  She is stunning with her black Awl Griped hull and sleek profile.  Raven’s design and craftsmanship can be seen inside and out and is one of the best examples of the pride the builder’s at Alden have.   The hull and deck were constructed with a vacuum bagged, epoxy resin layup that was post cured making the strength to weight one of the best in the industry.  This high tech construction with is sleek hull make it one of the best running boats in its class.  She is a boat that needs to be seen to understand the details that were executed during the build process.

Hull Shape and Deck

To understand this boat is first to know that it is a full Epoxy Post Cured hull made with the finest Pre Preg Kevlar composite laminates.  Plain and simple it allows Raven to be built lighter and stronger so it can take advantage of it hull shape.  Many will quickly compare to others but after a test ride you will see that she is a great running, smooth and exciting boat to run.  Raven is built with a narrower hull and has flattened aft deadrise making it very efficient and easy to run.  All boats talk about a great ride but this one delivers and will give you a smile when you see the ocean!

  • Hull:  Post thermal cured epoxy. Kevlar pre preg composite laminate.
  • Hull Interior - Accessible spaces coated with thixotropic polyester for ease of cleaning.
  • Grounding skeg was added during the build for prop protection.

  • DC Switchboard - with DC voltmeter, DC ammeter, 30 DC circuit breaker positions, 12 Volt DC electrical system.
  • 2 AC Switchboard - with ship/shore power selector, double pole main breaker for each power source, polarity indicator, volt meter, ammeter, and 8 branch circuit breakers.
  • Engine Starting Circuit - Dedicated 90 amp alternator charges battery bank of 255 amp hour lifeline #GPL-8D gel cell battery for each engine.
  • Ship Electrical Feed - Dedicated 145 amp. Leece-Neville alternator charges battery bank of two 255 amp hour lifeline #GPL-8D gel cell batteries.
  • DC Power Selection - Dual switching system permits independent selection of battery engine bank for starting or ship operation.
  • Bulkhead Lights - Two stainless steel bulkhead lights with extension arms and shades in master stateroom and two multi axis lights in guest stateroom.
  • Courtesy lights - Five courtesy lights including three exterior and two interior.
  • Overhead Lights - Seventeen polished chrome interior overhead lights.
  • Light switches - Six wall switches provided for overhead lighting control.

Galley

The Custom fitted cherry cabinetry creates a chef's galley that all will enjoy.  It is loaded with ammenities such as two under counter Sub-Zero refrigerator drawers, sub-Zero freezer with ice maker, gaggenau stove top and the avantium combo micro-wave oven.    You can see the details with fitted dish and glassware cabinets and the Wet Bar - Main Deck - Precision fitted liquor and crystal drawers!

Also located in the galley area is easy access to the combination washer and dryer for all you needs when out for an extended trip.
