Overview

Wild Blue is offerd as a Co-Central listing with East Coast Yacht Sales

WILD BLUE was conceived by an experienced owner who had built boats before.  She was highly customized with attention to every detail from her custom mast to her bootstripe.  It is difficult to simply convey the extent of that effort but it was substantial.  Note the very useful dinette in lieu of the office.  His efforts included 3 days at the factory in Singapore working out many of those details.  Kept in meticulous condition, she is a rare offering among her sisterships.  While every owner claims their boat is quite special and unique, WILD BLUE truly is!

Descriptions

Comments:

Numerous changes and custom features added to make this boat more comfortable and liveable.  Every detail was painstakingly reviewed well before she was started.  WILD BLUE is one of the most comprehensively equipped and thoughtout Eastbay 54’s ever built.  For someone looking for a well equipped yacht with the best amenities, she is the best choice offered.

Accommodations:

WILD BLUE comfortably sleeps 4 in 2 staterooms, a master forward with ensuite head and stall shower and a guest with 2 single berths and separate head with stall shower.  The interior is finished in a combination of mica and varnished teak, with joinery done in what was known as the PK interior by designer Patrick Knowles.  Cabin sole is varnished teak and holly.  The entire interior is naturally ventilated with stainless opening ports, overhead hatches (screens & shades for all), dorades and Tropical upgrade option to the reverse cycle air conditioning and heat.

Master Stateroom is located forward with a centerline queen berth and generous storage in drawers, lockers and closets.  Forward bulkhead is covered with a custom teak framed mirror flanked by swing arm reading lamps.  Drawers beneath the aft end of the berth were customized with 2 additional (total 4), all sized to maximize available space.  The large hanging locker, aft to starboard, is cedar lined and a Samsung TV connected to the KVH satellite system, sits above it. Full length mirror on the aft bulkhead.

The Master Head is quite generous with DuPont Zodiaq custom counter top, stall shower with varnished teak grate on tiled floor and bifold door.  The toilet is a SeaLand freshwater VacuFlush with night switch and TankWatch monitor panel.

Guest Stateroom: Located to port consisting of two comfortable awthartship berths with drawers beneath and louvered door cedar lined hanging locker between.  Two custom file drawers are located beneath the aft berth for ship’s papers and manuals.  A mirror is on the aft bulkhead.  There is an overhead hatch and opening ports.  The forward berth was elevated to enable a combination Splendide WD2000S Washer/Dryer to be installed, opening through a louvered door into the passageway.  The aft bunk was raised to match.  This also created additional storage space beneath the berths.

The Guest Head with separate stall shower, and varnished teak grate on tiled floor, is across the passageway to starboard. Counters are DuPont Zodiaq and the toilet is a freshwater VacuFlush with night switch.

Galley

U shaped, to port, opening inboard at the foot of the Main Saloon stairs.  DuPont Zodiaq counters with bullet nosing and cabinets above with drawer and cabinet storage beneath.  The stainless double sink uses a Grohe single lever faucet for pressure hot and cold water.  3 burner cooktop outboard with custom lockers below, created by moving the convection oven aft above the galley counter and refrigeration, two front opening teak door units.  A top loading freezer mis in the aft outboard corner.

  • Seaward Princess 3 burner radiant ceramic cooktop
  • Sharp R-930CS stainless convection microwave oven w/turntable
  • NovaCool TL2500 top load freezer
  • Subzero 249RP refrigerator – under counter inboard
  • Subzero 249R combo refrigerator or freezer – under counter outboard
  • Teak doors on SubZero’s

Dinette

Located opposite the galley to starboard.  A large U shaped settee with folding leaf table, cabinets with bookshelf outboard and a drawer at the forward end.  Her owner found this a more sensible use of this space compared to other options or configurations offered.

Main Saloon

Entered through double doors from the cockpit or up a few stairs from the galley/dinette.  Helm is located forward to starboard and passenger seat to port in front of a traditional top opening nav/work area.  The bench seating for both helm and passenger were modified/customized in both the seat and back configuration to minimize any visual obstruction.

Aft to starboard is the entertainment center with pop up TV flanked by two barrel chairs.  Opposite to port is a settee, also customized for function and appearance, with a folding leaf Hi/Lo table for dinning or coffee table configuration.
