From the pen of Sparkman and Stephens, the Tartan 40 embodies the dual-purpose designs of the 80's when comfort and performance were considered equal partners. Persnickety features a keel/centerboard that enhances its sailing capabilities and cruising destinations. The tall dual spreader rig with inner and outer foresails, and 2+3 batten main sail make for a powerful yet flexible sail plan. Sails are new 2024.

Accommodations include all teak woodwork, two comfortable cabins and a well-appointed head, providing ample space for relaxation. The Nav station aft of the galley is well laid out with easy voice access to the cockpit.
