“Slide Rule” is a Beneteau First 44.7 which has been prepared for the major east coast ocean races, as well as extended cruising. With a design pedigree from Bruce Farr, the First 44.7 seamlessly can put both feet into either the racing or cruising worlds. Some owners have circumnavigated their boats, while others have campaigned to win the Newport Bermuda race. “Slide Rule” has all of the electronics, sails, bottom paint, and infrastructure upgrades to do either, and she has been maintained to the highest standard. Electronics and Navigation

Slide Rule is fully equipped with the electronics and equipment required for both racing and offshore distance cruising.  The electronics have all been replaced and updated and are fully integrated into a NMEA 2000 backbone and wireless digital network for handheld devices such as computers, Ipads, and phones.

Engine, Electrical and Recent Upgrades

The engine has been serviced annually.  Major items have been addressed or are on the current winter punch list.  The electrical system was updated and significantly improved three years ago with a large new alternator, a smart regulator, 3 new Lithium Phosphorous batteries, a new shore charger, battery isolator, and protective fusing.  More updates and replacements have been scheduled to be completed this winter.
