Annapolis, MD — Kevin Reeds, a yacht broker with North Point Yacht Sales, has been appointed as the new Mid-Atlantic sales representative for Hylas Yachts. Reeds brings years of industry knowledge and direct experience selling Hylas sailing yachts ranging from 44 to 70 feet to this new role.
“We are very excited to welcome Kevin Reeds back to the Hylas team,” said Andy Huang, President of Hylas Yachts. “Kevin’s long-standing reputation, deep technical knowledge, and proven sales experience make him an outstanding representative for our brand in the Mid-Atlantic market.”
Founded in 1985, Hylas Yachts has earned a global reputation for producing high-quality, semi-custom sailing and motor yachts that blend performance, luxury, and value. With more than 550 vessels launched worldwide, the current Hylas lineup includes the H48 and H57 sailing yachts, as well as the M44, M47, and M49 motor yachts.
Kevin is a full-time yacht broker with North Point Yacht Sales, which operates full-service locations in Annapolis, Maryland; Gloucester Point, Virginia; and Charleston, South Carolina. North Point Yacht Sales provides a comprehensive ownership experience, offering new-boat and brokerage sales supported by advanced service, repair, and upgrade capabilities for both power and sail customers.
Reeds’ marine industry career spans nearly five decades, beginning in 1976 while he was still in high school in California. He began as a retail clerk and salesman at Port & Starboard Marine in Mountain View, California, and has since held positions with Trimble Navigation, Alcom Electronics, Santa Cruz Yachts, Eastport Yachts, J/Port Annapolis, Interyacht, and David Walters Yachts, prior to joining North Point Yacht Sales in 2025.
An accomplished racing sailor, Reeds served as Navigator aboard the practice boat for the AmericaOne syndicate during the 1999–2000 America’s Cup campaign in New Zealand. He holds the GPS patent for the Sailtrak system used by ESPN to graphically illustrate America’s Cup broadcasts beginning in 1991 and is certified by U.S. Sailing as a National Race Officer. When not actively selling yachts, Reeds is often found on the water running local, regional, or national sailing regattas across the United States.
Kevin Reeds resides in Annapolis, Maryland, with his wife, Diane, and their Labrador Retriever, Big Dave.
